i have been interested for some time in the sculptural/spatial language of maps and topography.

this work with marmoleum is an exploration of this. marmoleum is interesting for me as it is thin yet strong and durable, and the colour is integral, all the way through. in this way the cut exposed section remains the colour of the surface.

a small play of repetition and colour
